I know I am 2 years behind (sorry) -- but I finally saw FAST FOOD NATION.
We can get into all of the politically incorrect/correct back and forth, and everyone is definitely entitled to their opinion, but I just needed to get the word out...WATCH IT. Yes, I had my hand over my eyes during the 'Kill Floor' scene (and a few others) but all in all, you know instantly what the director/producers are trying to say through every single line.
On that note, its been about 2 years since I gave up red meat. Nothing against red meat eaters. I used to be one. I know what it feels like to order a big juicy steak (medium) and take care when cutting to be sure I was slicing against the grain. Fillet Mignon was my favorite choice. No bones, no extra fat, just meat.
After watching this, I don't know if I can ever eat red meat again. I may even give up chicken for a while because of the images left in my head from the movie. This movie screams know what you are putting into your body.
There's so much more to the movie then just exploiting the disturbing madness behind the meat for fast food chains, so if you do come across it on HBO, don't change the channel.
[Ok, that was a totally random food-related post.]
