Thanks to Al and Larissa for hosting us for a Memorial Day BBQ, and introducing me a traditional way to stuff my face with Kalbi (Galbi) - Korean Style short ribs. I swear, Kalbi, marinated with sweet 'Kalbi Marinade/Seasoning' fresh off the grill, with a little caramalization action is good enough on its own with some HOT sticky rice, fresh out of the rice cooker, but I was fascinated by the taste when Larissa paired it with dry seaweed paper. Very very happy. I wrapped everything all together, added a little vinegar (aka SUKA) and the flavors definitly made me go back for LOTS more. It must be the fat. It was sooo good!
I didn't feel so guilty since I brought Turkey Hot Dogs and Whole Wheat Buns. Oh, plus I ate a lot of fruit. :)

SUKANG MAASIM (Sour Vinegar)

We also asked our neighborhood Dominican Cake lady to bake a double chocolate cake for our May birthdays.

Happy Birthday Anne Marie! (Today - 5/29)
