YoFiore

On the search for more more Frozen Yogurt options to hold us down when we don't have the 20 minutes to drive to Red Mango, we checked out YoFiore in Bayside on Northern Blvd. (which we realized was pointless because it takes the same amount of time to get there).

YoFiore is actually half Video Plus Inc. and half "YoFiore" serving a regular flavor plus a green tea and pomegranate flavor (which they were out of that night). You can tell that the owners were trying to make this into a Pinkberry/Wildberry by the backsplash colors they used (so many of them!) on each wall, and those fun white light fixtures.
Regular flavor it was with mochi and chocolate chips for me. Joel got his usual - regular with Cap'n Crunch, rasberries, strawberries, blackberries and mochi. This yogurt is definitely a powder mix that gave off a few icy chunks. The first bite was nice and tart, but not creamy. Yes, I would go here if I was in Bayside, because it will satisfy the craving and I love different colored backsplash walls - but I would rather go the same distance to my #1 place, Red Mango. On the plus, they use bigger serving spoons here for the toppings, so it seemed like we were getting LOTS more toppings than we would at Red Mango. They are very generous with both the yogurt and the toppings.
