Barcelona...but first, Eggland's Best!

Thank you to Foodbuzz for their unending support and excitement for us food bloggers who just love to stuff our faces and write about it. Bravo for sending us to meet and eat 'Dinner for Breakfast' with the folks from Eggland's Best a few weeks ago on 4/21 @ the Beacon.

Mimosa in hand, I learned about the history and business of 'egg making' which was pretty interesting for me. I mean, I can't really hate on people who want to share with us, how much time and effort they put into making sure a product is safe and prepared properly. At the end of the night, they sent us home with gift bags that included, of course, 2 bags of one of their newest products, ready to eat, Hard-Cooked Eggland's Best Eggs!

Let me tell you, I had reservations at first. I remember looking at the bags on the cab ride home wondering...BUT, they really did come in handy when I couldn't think of anything to eat for dinner the next night. Very very convenient for making a great egg salad, especially since I was exhausted and wanted something ASAP!
Thanks Eggland's Best and Foodbuzz! Here are a few pics from breakfast I caught with my iPhone!

More than just eggs at 'Breakfast for Dinner'...Thanks to the Beacon Restaurant for the extras and the drinks!

Make my own omelette!

I'm taking Barcelona recommendations now, until I take off next week Wednesday!

Also, CONGRATULATIONS to FOODBUZZ for reaching their 1 MILLION POSTS MILESTONE! Looking forward to celebrating with you all -- and to 1 MILLION MORE POSTS TO COME!!

I love Barcelona! You're going to have an amazing time :)

- Pinotxo bar (in the Boqueria mkt): definitely get the chipirónescon mongetes: a warm plate of baby squid and light beans
- Cal Pep: Plaça des les Olles 8: probably one of my favorite restaurants in the world - everything is great here and the seafood is to die for
- Restaurant cinc sentits: c/aribau, 58: molecular gastronomy done right; great suckling pig and the chocolate/toasted bread/olive oil/sea salt deconstructed dessert is awesome
- El Xampanyet: Montcada 22: an old-school cava bar with great snacks and an old-world vibe
- Café Viena: (lunch) La Rambla del Estudis 115: one of the best ham sandwiches you'll ever have
- Xurreria Laietana: best churros con chocolate on via Laietana
- Park Guell: if you love Gaudi, you'll love it here... one of my favorite spots in Barcelona
- Fundació Joan Miró: Spain's best collection of the famed Catalan contemporary artist's works (all donated by the great man himself). The museum is tucked away on Montjuïc in a location that enjoys marvelous vistas of port and city from its roof terrace, where there's an attractive garden filled with sculptures. --> this is right near the olympic pool and other attractions and it's great to walk around the area

I have pics and some commentary up on my flickr stream at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/aesis/sets/72157594442845982
